Final Project Art 141

This is our final project. I had no idea what to write about so I just wrote about what we did in this class room and what I learned from it. I put the images onto it and tweaked it a little bit by using my pattern as a background so it wouldn't look too plain. I chose these colors because it reminded me of fruit and it went well with my pictures and font. The pink and green was supposed to represent a kiwi or watermelon. The red and purple represents berries and grapes. I think it was because I was eating fruit and drinking cranberry juice at the time. Over all I am happy with what I have accomplished in this class. Like I said in my booklet, I am sure that if I continue to do these activities more on the computer, maybe one day my art work will be popular.

Random

So as of right now i turned in my character, my pattern, and now the poster. Now we're trying to do a book. I have no idea what this book is going to be about. I have a feeling I am just going to use things from my blog.

Final Poster

So this is looking like my final poster. To be honest i hated scanning in the leaves. I have no idea what else to do about the title. I tried to make it as dramatic as i could without over doing the effects on the type. We'll see how things turn out when i print it out.

Poster/Movie

So this is my poster. I'm not crazy about it. I wanted it to look more like a drama type of movie. I am definitely adding more stuff to it. Maybe play with some color or something. Tell me what you think!

Collage

So i was just playing around with putting a bunch of the pictures together. Still not sure what I am doing haha.

Adjusting color

This is a picture my friend took of me at the beach. It was a really nice view and i thought that if i played with the colors a little and made it more dark, the focus would be on the sunset. I'm into it.

Poster idea

This is my inspiration for my poster. I love this movie. It's funny and interesting to watch. My idea of it is to get my friends together and take funny pictures or something and put it all together to re-act this movie. I'm leaning more towards a comedy poster because i feel it will be fun to do. We will see how it turns out!

Color Pallet

We had to pick a picture from a magazine and define all the colors that made up other colors. I tried my best to pick out the colors that were on the paper and this is what i got. The main color was green. So i tried to play around with the colors and it turned out to be greenish blue mostly.

Artist of the day part 2

this artists name is Soo-Hwa Yuan. The artist uses stainless steel and fabric to create their artwork. I think it's pretty cool what people can think of with just simple things. Just like my other artist of the day, they used simple objects and made something incredible.

Creation for the pattern

before i did my pattern, this is the creation i made. I used the letter A and S to create this design. I picked a font i liked, flipped the A's around and put the S's together and rotated them to make the heart in the middle.

So far this is my pattern. I'm thinking about making a blanket.

My mask

In the beginning of the semester we were supposed to make a mask only using shapes. I did a ninja turtle. It was pretty simple once i knew what i was doing.

Final character project

so instead of doing Bolt, i wanted to make things a little more simple on myself since this is my first time making art on the computer. I decided i wanted to go with tweety bird. I don't really know how to use illustrator very well since this was my first time using this program, so i apologize for not doing the steps how i did this final. I kind of just put it all together day by day. I didn't save my work separately. I just saved it on top of the one i saved before. But this is my final and i have to say i am pretty proud of myself for how it turned out. She even put it on the wall! lol That's like drawing a picture you worked on for days and gave it to your mom and she put it on her fridge so everyone in your family can see it haha.

my practice character

this is my first practice character. I had no idea what i was doing. I was hoping that this would turn into Bolt from the Disney movie.

I then decided to try to do tweety bird because Bolt was just too difficult for me because i had no idea what to do.

Artist of the Day

The artist that I chose was Sayaka Ganz. Her art work is amazing. She uses recycled scraps to make beautiful creations of animals. It is amazing how someone can make such beautiful artwork out of things that people throw away every single day. She has a brilliant mind and she is very creative. I would have never thought of using recycled scraps as art work. She made something thats worth 25 cents, and made it into something that is worth millions. One thing that I love is that she makes her animals look like they are in motion or coming out of a wall. It looks like she drew it instead of putting the scraps together.

About Me

My name is Stephanie but everyone calls me Stevie for short. My major is graphic design and that is why I am taking this course. My educational goal is just to get my degree and possibly a Masters. A career goal of mine is to just make art and hopefully find a job that I enjoy.
